LogSnitch vs WowUtils WCL Review for checking a raid note
WowUtils' WCL Review and LogSnitch both compare a raid's casts with its cooldown plan from a Warcraft Logs report. WCL Review centres on cooldown assignments, with trends across pulls and a link to Viserio plans; LogSnitch adds how early or late each press was, a confidence, Personals, consumables and the boss's mechanics.
What is WowUtils WCL Review?
Part of Viserio Cooldowns, on WowUtils. It takes a pasted NSRT note, or a Viserio plan linked to a group, and a Warcraft Logs report. Each player gets a lane of assigned cooldowns above their casts, the raid a hit and miss summary, and the pulls a view of trends and a cast summary (its guide).
How do they compare?
| LogSnitch | WCL Review | |
|---|---|---|
| Plan source | A pasted NSRT or MRT note | A pasted NSRT note, or a linked Viserio plan |
| Per assignment | On time, early, late or missed, with the time difference and a confidence | Hit or missed |
| Across pulls | Every pull compared, and each player's late and missed counts | Trends and patterns across pulls |
| Personals, consumables | Checked: each player's own defensive, healthstones, potions | Not mentioned |
| Boss mechanics | Every mechanic, who failed it | Not mentioned |
| Plan warnings | Recasts closer than real logs allow | Not mentioned |
| Account | None | None for a pasted note; a group to link plans |
When should I use which?
- WCL Review if your raid plans its cooldowns in Viserio: the plan and the review stay in step.
- LogSnitch to see how late each press was, check Personals and consumables, and see the boss's mechanics on the same page (raid plan compliance).
- Both read a public Warcraft Logs report, so nothing stops you using both.
