Entombed Sentinels: who failed which mechanic

On Entombed Sentinels, LogSnitch checks 10 mechanics on Mythic (7 on Normal): 5 can charge a player with a mistake, 2 judge the tanks and 3 are credit. Each is read pull by pull.

Which Entombed Sentinels mechanics count as mistakes?

Each of these charges the player who made the mistake, pull by pull. Counts follow Warcraft Logs': direct hits, not ticks (hits vs ticks).

What are the tanks judged on?

A tank buster is judged on whether a defensive or an external was up on each hit, counting only defensives that tank is seen pressing in the report. Stacks are judged only where the guide states a limit; otherwise how long each tank held them is shown.

Which mechanics are credit?

Here taking it, killing it or kicking it is the job, so each is credit to the player who did it, never a mark against anyone.

What changes on Heroic and Mythic?

  • Blood Venom is checked on Heroic and Mythic only: on an easier pull it never happens, so it is never judged there.
  • Living Venom is checked on Heroic and Mythic only: on an easier pull it never happens, so it is never judged there.
  • Shifting Protovenom is checked on Mythic only: on an easier pull it never happens, so it is never judged there.

How does LogSnitch read Entombed Sentinels?

  • Helical Toxins is a pairing puzzle. Everyone carries it; the right partner clears it for both in the same instant, a wrong one adds a stack to both. A player is charged when Cultivated Burst lands on them or kills them. Each failure is marked critical, since it costs the raid a player or the whole pull, and nothing counts after the wipe is called.
  • Shifting Protovenom (Mythic) pairs the same way. A carrier who runs it into someone not carrying it triggers Protovenom Eruption on both: the carrier is charged, found from where everyone stood, and players only caught in the blast are not.
  • Unstable Miasma needs 8 soakers. A short cast charges the players of the group whose turn it was who were alive and not in it; the raid's soak groups are read from who soaked which casts.
  • Toxic Droplets are credit: each one squished counts for the player who took it, and one left alone erupts as Noxious Blast, counted for the raid.
  • Venom Coagulation is an add to burst down: each player's damage to it is credited and each one's life is timed.
  • Blood Venom is a puddle: 0 hits and many ticks on the site, so LogSnitch counts stays in it.

How do I check a pull of Entombed Sentinels myself?

Check it on Warcraft Logs

  1. Open the report on warcraftlogs.com and pick the pull.
  2. For a mechanic to avoid, open Damage Taken, select the ability and read each player's hits (the ticks are the cost).
  3. For a debuff to carry, pair or dispel, open Debuffs and the ability; for kicks, Interrupts; for who died to what, Deaths.
  4. Compare with LogSnitch's card for the mechanic: the same pull, the same players, the same counts, and a note wherever it deliberately differs.
